Risks of the Excursion to the Summit Craters of Mount Etna:
Volcanic Activity: Mount Etna is an active volcano, and participation in the excursion involves the risk of exposure to gas emissions, volcanic ash, and, in extreme cases, potential eruptions. Participants are required to follow the instructions of the guide and local authorities in case of changes in volcanic conditions.
Weather Variations: The excursion takes place in a mountainous environment with variable weather conditions. Participants may be exposed to low temperatures, strong winds, fog, and precipitation. It is the participants‘ responsibility to be adequately equipped to face the continually changing weather conditions.
Uneven Terrain: The path to the summit craters may have rocky, slippery, or irregular terrain. There are risks of stumbling and falls. Wearing sturdy hiking boots and proper equipment is mandatory.
Altitude: The excursion involves a significant gain in altitude. Participants may be exposed to the risk of mountain sickness or other altitude-related side effects.
Guide and Group: It is mandatory to follow the instructions of the specialized guide and the organizing group. Non-compliance with the provided guidelines increases the risk of accidents and emergency situations.
By agreeing to participate in this excursion, participants declare that they are aware of these risks and agree to adhere to the safety regulations established by the guide and organizers of the excursion.

The undersigned participant confirms having been duly informed about the program, characteristics, level of difficulty, commitment, and risks of the trekking excursion.
The participant declares:
- To have read, at the time of booking, the program, duration, difficulty, commitment, information, what is included, and what is not included in the fee.
- To be capable of undertaking the excursion and planned activities considering health status, physical and psychological fitness, and technical abilities.
- To have an excellent level of physical fitness.
- Not to be pregnant.
- Not to suffer from the following pathologies: heart and blood pressure problems, diabetes, asthma, knee or back issues, mountain sickness, or other significant medical conditions.
- The participant is aware that the itinerary may be subject to changes due to local restrictions related to volcanic activity, weather conditions, or other factors that could affect the safety or feasibility of the Etna trekking excursion.
- Children under 12 years old are not allowed.
- The participant has been informed about the difficulties and risks associated with activities in a natural environment and on adventurous and volcanic terrain during the journey/excursion/ascent.
- They have been informed about the equipment and gear necessary for the activities during the excursion.
- They have received comprehensive explanations about the excursion from the responsible Volcanological Guide.
- They have had the opportunity to ask questions and have received satisfactory answers.
- They commit to strictly follow the received instructions and will not take any autonomous initiative during the excursion without prior notice to the Volcanological Guide.
- The participant acknowledges the obligation to provide correct information based on their previous experiences and competencies. They confirm that the given information is truthful.
- They accept the authority of the Volcanological Guide to cancel or modify the original program due to unforeseen safety requirements.
- They agree that failing to communicate the decision not to participate in the excursion within 24 hours of the scheduled date will result in no refund. However, cancellation is free and will be fully refunded if communicated within 24 hours before the start of the excursion.
